Straight pull Mannlicher bolt action magazine rifle made in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Unprofessionally refinished, 95% strong blue over the sometimes visible refinish marks. Some screws are newer replacements. Bore is poor, chamber is dirty. Hardwood stock is very nice, with a 95% matte black finish, no dings, no cracks visible. Italian WWII carbine. Dated "36 XIV". Terni's crown crest on the barrel shank. Finish: 40% thinning blue, turning brown. Mirror bright bore with good rifling. All serial numbers match. Wood is in good condition with several dings, cracked and repaired at the wrist. Some light surface cracking due to wood drying. Light stamping of the Terni crest is visible on the buttstock. Rear sight is adjustable to 1500m. The buttplate has a storage door & compartment. Several proofmarks are visible on the metal parts. No bayonet, short handguard is missing, replacement band screw. Designed by Alfred Kropatschek, a Portugese Contract Short Rifle, made by Austria. One of the highest quality rifles built at that time. The receiver is marked with the crest of Portugal and with 'OEWFG STEYR 1886'. Around 40% blueing remains, more on the receiver, less on other parts. No pitting. Matching serials except the bolt, which is 101 off. Excellent shiny bore with strong rifling. Wood is in near excellent condition, except for the 3" long crack by the buttplate screw. Cleaning rod is included. Very smooth turning bolt action, tubular magazine rifle. It is an unusual intermediate length rifle, 6" shorther than the rifle, 6" longer than the carbine, a great addition to any collection. Antique, no license is needed to purchase. See PICTURES |

Originally a German made Gew.88 "Commission" rifle, converted to Turkish 1935 standard in 1941. This conversion included a new 7.92x57 barrel, a Turkish crest and bayonet lug. Shiny bore with very good rifling. Metal has 75% finish, turning brown with scattered light pitting. Receiver legend: "TC ASFA Ankara". Several parts still have Imperial German markings. A Yugoslavian used WW2 rifle which was reworked during the Cold War. Possibly originally made by FN, Herstal, Belgium for Yugoslavia. Receiver has a sharp crest of Tito's Communist Yugoslavia, "Preduzece 44" (Factory #44, Kragujevac). The finish is 50% overall grayish thinning blue. Mirror bright bore with sharp rifling. Serial numbers do not match. Stock is in very good+ condition with few small dings, and abrasions wear in the forend. Handguard has a small arsenal repair by the band. 6475 See PICTURES |
